The first week of the month is usually a busy one for me, with our
international student lunch on Monday and Ladies' Bible Study on Tuesday. Since I was at the church building anyway yesterday, I also headed to
Hobby Lobby and a glass shop. I've had a gift card for Hobby Lobby and I finally knew what to use it for, but driving there randomly from home would take longer than 45 minutes, so I've been waiting for the perfect opportunity to drive there on a week-day trip from church. The glass shop is in the same town, so it all worked out well. While there, I also found an
Aldi, which was exciting. But it did mean that a lot of the day was spent away from home.
Whew. It's so nice, so nice to be at home. I have beans on the stove, bread rising, and plans to make a shoo-fly pie once the bread is baking. Hopefully I'll finish my
painting, too!
Here's what I have to show for myself:
Fabric for our dining room (left) and living room curtains from Hobby Lobby.
I handed the man at the glass shop my
four pieces of frame not knowing what to expect. Ten minutes and $14 later, he handed it back to me all put together and with a mirror in place! I was happy.
A nearly painted dining room. :-)
Love the blue.. really vinagey. Not sure your syle or what your going for :) I am looking over some neat vintage aqua looking blues myself for my downsairs bath because its an inner room so I thought it would brighten it up and I'll have wainscot in white along the bottom as well.. really like how yours is looking so I think you've talked me into a bright color :) Ps love the toille looking fabric for the curtains. Love that french country look :)

Yay, thanks! I'm not really sure what my style is, either. My favorite time/setting is Regency England. I like a lot of Shabby Chic stuff, but not everything. Glad you were inspired by the color . . . I think in real life it's just a little too bright to be vintage, but I can see how a subtler one would be very vintage (and gorgeous in a laundry room!). I will reply to your e-mail soon!
