Our First Spring Picnic

We've been having absolutely beautiful weather this week.  Yesterday, I packed our lunch in a basket and set up a picnic blanket by the pond in our development.  Then I lured John outside on pretense of wanting to decide where to dig for a small garden.  He obligingly not only sat and ate with me but even read some humorous poems aloud!  Ahh.

And if you look hard enough, you can see the cars zooming by on the highway on the far side of the pond.  ;-)
