And the Samples Begin

I'd heard that once advertisers discovered I was pregnant, we would start getting samples in the mail.  But I was expecting little packets of stuff like formula, not entire containers!  When John brought in the shoebox-sized package yesterday, he could hardly believe that I hadn't asked for it or paid for it.

For the record, I fully hope/intend to breastfeed and am really excited about it!  I've read, though, that it's a good idea to keep formula samples around just in case.  They can always be donated.  John says, "Just don't try to put it on my cereal!"

  1. I always heard that too, but I never got any samples, except from the hospital. Somehow they missed me :)

  2. Ah! Sorry you missed out! I'm guessing you probably didn't need formula, though. :-) Last week, I bought a couple pieces of clothing at a maternity store and gave them my address, and I'm thinking that's the cause for this one.

  3. That may have been it :) No I never needed it. I'm sure glad, that stuff is expensive!

  4. Stephanie only had formula a few times. I think eventually she got where she wouldn't drink it. I guess her palette developed enough that she knew the difference. I may have tried some in her cereal once she started "solids", but I can't remember how that went. Amazing what you forget!! :P

  6. "toughin you up," haha! But, yeah, I'll be happy for tips because I know really nothing about it . . . except how awesome and healthy and stuff it is. :-)
